How It Integrates:

When you set "Designer Involved?" to "Yes" in the Calculator tab, these design fees are automatically added to your Materials cost and included in all markup calculations. The client sees design services bundled seamlessly into their estimate.

State Labor Rate Multipliers

This is the engine for location pricing. Labor multipliers automatically adjust your base rates based on regional market conditions.

How It Works:

  • 0.85 multiplier = 15% cheaper than national base (e.g., Arkansas)
  • 1.40 multiplier = 40% higher than national base (e.g., Massachusetts)
  • • Your Labor table automatically updates when you select a different state

Workflow for Quoting Jobs:

  1. Pick State, Sq Ft, Scope Level
  2. Enter realistic hours per trade
  3. Enter material allowances (don't under-allow — that's how you lose money)
  4. Add subs
  5. Set: Contingency (10–15% for remodels), GC markup (20–35%), Profit target (15–30%)
  6. The calculator spits out: Labor total, Materials total, Overhead/contingency/markup, Final number
  7. PROJECT ESTIMATE tab prints to PDF for client
