Steps to Work with Lake Hazel Design Collective

1. Apply

  • Submit your Designer Application Form with:

    • Portfolio or sample work.

    • Resume or summary of experience.

    • Preferred design styles & specialties.

    • Availability and location.

  • Optional: Include links to your Instagram, Pinterest, or Houzz profile.

2. Initial Review

  • Our team reviews your portfolio for design quality, fit with our brand aesthetic, and client-ready skills.

  • We’ll reach out if we’d like to move forward.

3. Interview & Brand Alignment Call

  • 30–45 min Zoom or in-person meeting with Alicia (or a senior team member).

  • Discussion covers:

    • Your design process.

    • Past project challenges & wins.

    • How our revenue share and workflow operate.

  • Q&A so you understand expectations before moving forward.

4. Offer & Agreement

  • If accepted, you’ll receive:

    • Subcontractor agreement.

    • NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

    • Revenue share breakdown.

    • Brand standards guide.

  • Once signed, you’re officially part of the Lake Hazel Collective.

5. Onboarding & Training

  • Receive your Designer Welcome Packet with:

    • Access to templates, sourcing sheets, and project systems.

    • Overview of our client workflow from inquiry to install.

    • Communication guidelines.

  • Attend a 1–2 hour training session (virtual or in-person) to get set up in our tools.

6. First Project Assignment

  • You’ll either:

    • Take the lead on a smaller client project, or

    • Assist on a larger project to learn our process in action.

  • Use brand templates for proposals, sourcing, and presentations.

7. Ongoing Support

  • Monthly team meetings for vendor updates, design trends, and process improvements.

  • Access to mentorship from Alicia for high-profile projects (e.g., Parade of Homes, luxury remodels).

  • Opportunities to build your portfolio under the Lake Hazel brand.
